Since the ride the week prior, the snow had melted quite a bit, with some fresh snow falling just prior to the ride. On FR 70, we were able to make it about 1/4 mile closer to the last intersection with the Naches jeep trail, where it cuts to Gov't Meadows. The fresh snow was easier to ride on than what was present the week before.

Looking from the bottom to the top of a rock on FR70 (we visited the week prior).

Looking up the Naches trail from a spur off of FR70.

The Kawasaki dealership apparently didn't have snowmobiles. This is just into the tree line on the last straight stretch before FR70 splits, heading to Government Meadows.

Same spot, different view, looking down the road towards the last entrance to the Naches trail before Gov't Meadows. Scott, Mike, and Kelsey pictured.

Same spot again, with Scott, Mike, and Paul.

We found a bare mtn top near the Naches trail, off of a jeep road, where we could have lunch. Except for the trail up, we were surrounded by snow - at the 4,400' level.

Mike, Kelsey, and Scott found a stump. During our brief break, the hills in the background kept going in and out of view with the changing weather.

More exploring in the snow. It actually isn't that dark, or it wasn't supposed to be. The weather kept moving in and out, at times visibility was pretty poor.
