Naches - July 25th to 27thOn the weekend of July 25th-27th 2003, we drove almost 2hrs from home to the Naches area, and camped in the Kaner Flat campground. The campground is just across a forest road from the Naches River, and nestled amongst the trees. It is supposed to be one of the spots where the original wagon train over Naches Pass stopped to rest on their crossing. We arrived Friday evening, with Karen & Craig, and Mike in tow. Scott and his Cousin showed up a bit later. Doug, and Brian and his two boys were either already there. Doug also introduced us to two more, Rob and his Wife Shannon (and their cute little boy). We spent Friday and Saturday night in the park, and had the full day on Saturday to play around. I went riding with Brian/Devin/Cody, and that story is on the motorcycle page. Moira enjoyed playing in the dirt, and I think she played in all of it. Delaney even had fun as well, that's my interpretation of how much sleeping she did. Before going home on Sunday we all drove to the top of Ravens Roost, to show the girls what we keep taking pictures of on our bike rides. On the way home we also stopped at Cayuse pass for some more scenic shots. | ||
