Geoff and I went out to Greenwater with the idea of riding over Naches Pass on the Naches Jeep/Wagon trail. We stopped at Government Meadows to take in the scenery, finished that part of the jeep trail, and then headed for Ravens Roost. We had lunch on top, and noticed some clouds moving in, so decided to start heading back towards the truck.
On top of Green Pass the fog/cloud really started to set in, but we never did get rained on. All in all, was a good ride.

Truck unloaded, and ready to start the ride. Parked at the end of the blactop on Rd. 70.

On top of a large Rock on Road 70, looking back towards greenwater. The road in the picture is the blacktop portion of the same road.

Geoff and I at the last entrance to the Naches Jeep Trail before it hits Government Meadows.

A sign indicating this is where the Longmire Wagon Train camped in the fall of 1853 before heading down towards the Puget Sound.

Another sign, detailing the why's and when's of the wagon train.

A cabin that has been in the meadow for a long long time - though obviously refurbished.

Looking from just inside the trees down the length of the meadow.

Farther down the Naches Trail is another sign detailing the Wagon Trains travels. This jeep trail is supposed be on the route the wagon train took.

Most of the way of to Ravens Rooste, we stop to take a picture of the scenery.

Another picture from the same spot.

Looking North / North West from Ravens Roost

Looking west from Ravens Roost, Mt Rainier should be in the picture somewhere - it was covered in clouds.

Earlier in the day we had taken the single track trail in the background. In this picture though we are getting ready to head up this gravel road, to Green Pass. Hoping to beat the incoming weather.

Same spot, looking the other direction.

Looking across a meadow that is next to 1913.

One of the spots we normally take pics from - not as nice today.

This is where a snowbank often times lingers late into the year, just over Green Pass (west side). This is Geoff coming down the road. Here we took a slight detour, looking for a particular spot.

Another picture of Geoff...

Down our detour, the fog/cloud has really set in. Just behind this spot we came across a pretty new fifth wheel trailer. interesting.

Another picture of the same site.

Looking off the bank. There would normally be a valley and more mountains out there somewhere...

Geoff standing on the other side of the 2nd major fallen tree we'd come across. The 'ramp' was a semi-rotten piece of wood we kicked/tore off the log.

Looking back from the same spot, to the tree we rode the bikes under. Someone had started to cut on it with a chain saw, but didn't finish the job.

Both logs in the same picture.

At the bottom of road 7030, with Geoff approaching.
