This summer we had our Dads weekend in early September, on the 7th and 8th. We started off leaving home, and driving to Lake Easton, where we spent the night. It's a nice state park with paved roads, and the girls (and us Dads) had a great time exploring the park on our bikes.

Leaving the park the next morning, we stopped off on our way home at Snoqualmie Pass, and visited Franklin Falls. It's a nice little water fall that is pretty easy to find, and the girls had a great time there. Leaving the falls, we took a longer hike to what is best described as a natural water slide. The girls had a great time there as well, and were definitely ready for dinner by the time we finally returned to the parking lot.

A very small rainbow in the water. I looked, there was no pot of gold at either side.

We drove down the road another 1/2 mile or so, and parked at another trailhead. From there, we started hiking to the north, passing underneath the west bound lanes of I-90.
