We finally convinced some friends of ours to come camping with us, to a place we've heard lots of great things about, but had never visited. As luck would have it, we picked the rainiest weekend of the summer to make this trip. We had a great time though, despite the weather, and the scenery didn't seem to suffer for it, either.

Some highlights; A racoon visited us, intent on eating Juneau's dog food. Our fearless watch dog was of course asleep for most of this, and when she finally woke up, about drug me into the trees after our friendly visitor. The girls performed some talent shows - Delaney was caught up in the experience, and pretty much laughed all through her routine with Emily (maybe that was her routine?). We somehow forgot a spatula, or lost it. Kirsti ended up making pancakes with an axe. Very redneck. In the end though, despite the semi-constant rain, a great time was had by all.

Time to make a fort on the beach.

I later picked this piece of wood up myself - I freaked the first time I saw her carrying it. To say it was "dry" is somewhat of an understatement.
