This was the second year we did what might become a regular event, camping with a large group of friends at Fort Flagler State Park. Most everyone arrived between Wednesday and Friday evening, and lasted through the weekend. The kids seemed to have us running in circles, which included stops at the "Park", bicycle rides, and trips to the beach. This of course did not include the required meals and snacks. The weather was great all weekend, it was probably the warmest we've ever been at Flagler, though not as hot as it apparently got in Seattle. I believe most of us came home with some sort of sunburn. | |||
A very cool sunset on Friday night. |

On Saturday, we begged some rides up to the museum area and parade grounds w/ the kids, and then road "downhill" back to camp. |
Here we are, looking uphill towards the main battery, through the hole in the trees at the end of this road. |
Someone closed the door behind Kelsey, and there is no doorhandle, but there was a latch. Ooops. |
