We traveled to Mission Ridge (S. Wenatchee, actually) for our second year in a row, and spent a few days skiing with friends and family. We had a lot of fun on the mountain, but didn't get the camera out as much as we would have liked, so there aren't as many pictures. We put the girls in ski lessons for Thursday and Friday, and both did very good, and had a great time as well. On returning to get the girls the 1st day we saw the girls hanging out by the rope tow, and I asked the instructor how they did. He replied "Great. We went to the top, and they did good." I thought "top" meant the bunny chair, but he was referring to the top of the mountain. Excellent. The 1st two video clips are of the girls on Wednesday before lessons started. We were basically just killing time waiting for those to start, before the rest of us went skiing. The last clip is of Moira at the top with Kirsti and Aunt Karen, and us skiing down a from there a short ways. | |||
Kirsti, Scott, and Karen at the top of Mission Ridge. Wenatchee had been socked in by clouds for a week or so, but the top of the mountain was beautiful. |
Another run, another picture at the top. Moira and Mommy. |

The famous 'wing' at Mission Ridge. The story goes a B-24 was on a night training flight during WW2, and caught by weather, could not find a place to land. It crashed at what is now the Mission Ridge ski resort. |
