This was one of those trips that we had always talked a little bit about, but there always seemed to be something else that had priority. Kirstis' family though was having a reunion of sorts, and possibility of meeting most everyone in one place was too much to pass up. My only regret is that I wish we had gotten to meet them all a lot earlier, they are awesome!

We started our trip in Edinburgh, and then from there drove through Stirling, Callander, Glencoe, the farthest north we made it was Inverness. Along the way we had some great food, got to tour a number of truly awesome historical sites, and enjoyed the truly beautiful scenery.

From Inverness we headed south-west and spent a few nights on the Isle of Skye, and then onto Oban for a night, and then the Isle of Mull and Iona, the latter we spent two nights on. We finished our trip in Glasgow meeting with Kirstis Mom and Sisters again, and had a great couple of days there before heading home.

The Dinner menu at Callander Meadows. This was a little "Hotel" / B&B that had amazing food and wonderful service.

Across the bridge almost behind our hotel, it did occur to us a canoe or kayak would have been excellent to have.
