Kirsti was studying for her CFP this summer quite a bit, so it was another trip with just the girls and I, plus friends and family. We visited Deception Pass State Park, I think this being just the 2nd time we have camped there. We stayed in the lower loop closer to the water this time, and it was quite a bit more convenient to walk out of camp and see the sites.

The coast line here is quite a bit more rugged than say Fort Flagler, or especially somewhere like Grayland Beach. There are quite a few places for kids and adults alike to explore though, and is a great place to just enjoy the scenery. We even found a little area that once inside of our wandering dog would have very little chance of getting out of without swimming, and she could play in there attacking the maurading waves. Yeah, she doesn't really like water, but for some reason believes waves we think to be something more akin to a snake. It entertains her, and us.

What is the 1st part of setting up camp? Unloading the bicycles, of course.

On a walk with the kids and dogs, we found a little bluff with a flat rock overlooking the water. If memory serves, we were deceptively high above the water here.

There were quite a few places with small water spouts.

I believe this is the "walled" off area that Juneau could not find her way out of - perfect.

She really, especially at this point, did not like water. Waves though, are apparently not water.

Walking below the bridge down to the trail.
