Kirsti was studying for a program at work, and the girls and I drove down to Fort Stevens State Park in Oregon for a family reunion. I didn't get a lot of pictures without Kirsti, but did manage a few. Scott and Courtney also made it down, with their neices, as well.

The 1st full day I drove the Moira, Delaney, Connor, and Chloe by myself down the coast towards the Tillamook Air Museum. We made quite a few stops on the way down, and made a day out of it. On a later day we also visited the Goonies house, and Fort Clatsop. Both very cool.

On our way south to see Tillamook, the kids and I stopped at Ecola State Park.

At this point I started to wonder if we would ever make Tillamook.

A J2F Duck. Designed in the early 30's, and used through ww2. Very cool. The kids are okay to.

The doors are obviously only part way open, and this gives a sense of the scale. They are HUGE. This is supposed to be the largest wooden building in the world.

Back at Fort Stevens. This is a WW2 era fort, but it doesn't seem to have the fortifications that some of the others we've visited have.

It has miles and miles of trails though.

Fort Clatsop. This is a re-creation of what is believed to be the style of fort that Lewis and Clark and their expedition wintered in. The original was never found, but they are pretty sure the location here is close.

Did someone say Junior Ranger badges?
