In later June of 2023 we finally did a hike we had looked at for a while, but had never done. That was to hike to the Grand Park via the Lake Eleanor trail. The Grand Park can be reached via the Sunrise lodge area, but it is a longer hike with a greater elevation gain, and we thought this would be the preferred route for our first time. The hike in was beautiful, and we came across Lake Eleanor not long it seemed after starting the hike. We started to gain more elevation after that, and broke out into a few beautiful smaller meadows along the way. Reaching the Grand Park itself was pretty breath taking, it being almost 1.5 miles long and almost perfectly framing Mt. Rainier.
