Moira went to Colorado for cross-country camp, and Delaney, Kirsti and I decided to visit the Oregon coast while she was gone. We went down with Scott and Courtney (and Clara), and had a pretty good time. Our first stop was South Beach State Park, just south of the jetty in Newport, Or. Not bad in regards to location, but the sites are pretty packed in, and mosquitoes apparently don't need reservations like we do. Not good.
From there we travelled north on Wednesday, and on the way saw a few sites in Tillamook. The air museum is a pretty cool stop, though it seems they have lost quite a few of their aircraft that were on display on a prior visit. After a quick stop at the museum, we continued across town to the Tillamook Cheese Factory, and then finally on to Nehalem Bay State Park. This park seemed slightly more spacious than south beach, also seemed quieter, and had very few mosquitoes, if any at all. Very nice.
