This Spring Break (2018) we flew down to Sacremento, rented a car, and drove to Yosemite National Park. The weather was both good and bad; the bad was that the park was closed on the first day we were supposed to be there, due to rains and flooding. We did get in on Sunday though, the next day. The good was from Sunday on. The waterfalls were flowing, the sun was out, and the temperatures were pretty mild. It was perfect.
We assumed we were ahead of *most* of the crowds on Sunday getting in, and went to the John Muir trail just after lunch. This is supposed to be the busiest trail in the park, and we thought it a good place to start. After seeing Vernal Falls, we returned to the car, and finally checked in to our cabin for night.
