It has long been Moiras' goal to run a half-marathon, and she was finally able to register for one for Feb 22nd 2020 on Whidbey Island. This course was laid out at Fort Ebey State Park, and while a beautiful setting, had a lot of ups and downs. She had a great run and came in 4th for the ladies.

We had just arrived at the park, and while Kirsti and I were contemplating the off and on rain, Moira was getting ready to warm up.

Up the hill and towards the trail. From here they would travel primarily down hill towards the northern part of the park, and then back up hill to the south-east.

The next (and last we can see) crossing is not far from here, up the road and to the right. Between these two points the runners have quite a bit of elevation to both lose and make up.
