On the kids' last day of school this year, we packed up, and with some friends headed to Salt Creek Recreation Area, just west of Port Angeles. There we saw some excellent tide pools, enjoyed the scenery, and saw quite a bit of wildlife. We at one point thought that Juneau was gone over a bluff and onto the rocks below, she had tangled with and then chased a Racoon through the fencing. We also saw two humbpack whales, and of course, as we are getting the camera out as fast as we could, another campers dog and ours decided they didn't like each other very much.
On our way to the general store in Joyce, Wa. Here, we have our normally confused dog Juneau, resting her head on Moira. This is a big deal, because normally she is contorting herself into the weirdest positions in the truck, and generally not getting close to the girls.
Kirsti and I on Sunday morning took the dogs for an early morning walk, and saw two Humpback Whales broaching here. They did it once more, of course when our dogs decided to get into it with another, and we were unable to get pictures.
